Hello! My name is James and I love having fun, usually. But when it comes to the election we cannot celect individuals who have interests which deprive America for being America. I am a Literary Theory major and American Studies minor student at Hobart College. I plan on taking my degree and moving on to the world of journalism so this blog is quite in my favor. I am a junior student who has the opportunities to work with great individuals under internships for both the Boston Globe newspaper (fall of 2007) and NBC Studios (summer of 2008). This blog should serve as active engagement and ‘analyzation’ to who serves my generation’s best interests and the interests of America’s future.
I am in pursuit of being an informed citizen. My views, quite candidly, are a radical departure from the norm. I don’t agree in passively living and doing things. I want to play an active role in all things I do and in all walks of life. I was raised a Roman Catholic, but over time I’ve come to see the impossibility of Jesus being divine, I still however greatly believe that God exists. To me, Jesus was just one individual to look up to, one more man and figure which I strive to emulate and become more like.
I have read many English sources and throughout my life it has been English which has contributed greatly to my understanding and logic. My lifestyle like my humor is playful but when deciding the fate of things which surround us, it is imperative that we read up and have information at hand before hastily making a decision on who to “vote” for. I hope to get to know my audience more intimately. My prime inspirations come from two sources: Peter Jennings and William Randolph Hearst. I hope this site can network me with people who share similar views and goals. I live in NY but know that my future, much like my career will take me to new and different places. I fully expect my job to be overseas. Hopefully, in all regards we can reach a well-coordinated and far-reaching consensus on our choices.
